Charles Dickens was an English writer. He is the author of some of the most popular fictional books and characters. His most prominent works are Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, A Christmas Carol, Bleak House, David Copperfield, Oliver Twist, The Pickwick Papers, Nicholas Nickleby.
Great Expectations is known to be the best novel of the writer. Orphaned boy Pip who works in a forge but dreams of becoming a gentleman. It is a story of crime and guilt, revenge and reward.
A Tale of Two Cities which is based on London and Paris, is his best work of historical fiction. A Christmas Carol is about redemption of a selfish old man named Ebenezer Scrooge.
Bleak House is about the inheritance and absurdities of English law in the 1850's. David Copperfield is the struggles and obstacles of life of a young man named David Copperfield.
Oliver Twist tells the story of an orphaned boy who is sold. Later, he escapes from there and meets a member of a gang of juvenile pickpockets led by the elderly criminal, Fagin.
