Akhyamanjari (আখ্যানমঞ্জরী) is a short story book written by Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar (ঈশ্বরচন্দ্র বিদ্যাসাগর).

Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was an Indian Bengali philosopher, writer and reformer. He was born Ishwar Chandra Bandyopadhyay. He received the title "Vidyasagar" which means "Ocean of Knowledge". He was given the name because of his extraordinary knowledge about Sanskrit and Philosophy.

He tried to simplify and modernize Bengali prose. His another great work is the simplification of Bengali alphabet. He also worked as a reformer. He worked hard to pass widow remarriage act and removed other social injustices.

He also wrote many books. In the book Akhyanmanjari, he wrote educative short stories. These stories teach us manner, values, morality, truthfulness, beauty of character.
