Nukhbat Al Fikr is a work on Usool or Science of the principles of Hadith. It covers various aspects of the science of Hadith such as the chains of transmission, narrators, Hadith classifications and more. It is written by one of the greatest hadith scholars of all time Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (ইবনে হাজর আল আসকালানী ).
He was a Sunni scholar of Islam. His life work constitutes the final summation of the science of hadith. He represents the entire realm of the Sunni world in the field of Hadith, also known as Shaykh al Islam. He authored many books on hadith, history, biography, tafsir, poetry, and jurisprudence, the most valued of which being his commentary of the Sahih of Bukhari, titled "Fath al-Bari".
